Free for trainees, until the day you qualify
How RadMyk works for residents and radiology trainees: free while you train, with a simple extension if you help us get better.
By The RadMyk team
If you are training in radiology, RadMyk is free. Not a trial. Not a discount. Free, for as long as you are a trainee, right up until the day you qualify and stop being one.
We did this for a selfish reason and an unselfish one.
The unselfish reason
Learning to dictate well is a skill. The residents who practice structured, fluent reporting early become faster, clearer attendings later. Charging a trainee to learn that skill felt backwards. So we removed the price.
The first years of radiology are already full of friction. You are learning anatomy, modalities, protocols, normal variants, uncertainty, attending preferences, and the discipline of saying only what the image supports. Dictation should not be another toll booth.
Good reporting habits compound. The way you describe a pulmonary nodule, a subdural collection, a liver lesion, or postoperative change becomes muscle memory. The sooner speech feels ordinary, the sooner you can spend attention on the report rather than the tool.
That is why trainee access is not a short marketing trial. A two-week countdown does not match training. Residency and fellowship are measured in years. The license should respect that.
The selfish reason
Trainees are the best testers we have. You read across every subspecialty, you push the software in ways busy attendings never will, and you tell us exactly what is broken. That feedback is worth more than a license fee.
You also change context constantly. Chest in the morning, neuro after lunch, ultrasound on call, emergency CT overnight, MRI the next week. You dictate normal studies, messy studies, teaching cases, addenda, phone notes, and draft reports that get corrected in real time. That variety exposes weak vocabulary, awkward macros, poor defaults, and workflow assumptions quickly.
We want that pressure on the product. If RadMyk works for trainees while they rotate through the roughest mix of reporting environments, it will work better for everyone else.
So here is the arrangement:
- While you train: RadMyk is free. Verify once with your trainee status and keep working.
- When you qualify: the trainee license winds down, since you have finished training, after all.
- Need a little longer? Take our short survey and we extend your access by 30 days to bridge the gap while you sort out a permanent license. It is our way of saying thanks for the feedback.
What you get while training
Trainee access is the same RadMyk dictation product: on-device speech recognition, offline use after setup, macOS Apple Silicon and Windows support, voice macros, guided calibration, and cursor-based typing into the tools you already use.
There is no trainee watermark and no reduced quota. If you can type into a report editor, PACS/RIS field, EHR box, browser tool, or notes app, RadMyk can place dictated text there. The goal is to make voice input feel ordinary before the reporting volume becomes yours.
No credit card while you train. No countdown timer hanging over your training. Dictation gets out of the way so you can learn the part that matters.
